Why have we made this investment as a district?
What is the driving goal of this investment?
What have other schools done that has been successful?
What measurable results do we expect to yield?
How will the use of iPads help us personalize learning for students, offering choice and individual paths?
What strategies can we employ to promote buy-in?
How will students send and receive information/assignments digitally?
How will students use digital tools to collaborate?
How will students print? (Do they need to print?)
How will we share student work and progress with parents when work is completed digitally?
How will we handle damage?
When will students begin taking home devices? What is our plan for sending devices home? Charging devices?
How will we respond when a student violates school guidelines for digital citizenship? (We wouldn't take a pencil away if a child wrote a bad word...we shouldn't take devices away. However, we need to respond....consider how you could couple restriction settings along with further education on digital citizenship as a next step.)
How do we know where our teachers' current areas of strength and need are? Do we have staff who could help support colleagues?
What is our plan for professional development? How can we embed technology training in with the PD plan we already have in place? How can leaders (both administrative and teacher leaders) model and support naturally embedded technology PD? How will we personalize PD for teachers?
